Cooling for Induction Heating and Melting
Developed for cooling induction heating
Induction heating can be used to harden, soften or bond materials.
The process requires an electromagnetic field in which eddy currents move in opposite directions to the electrical resistivity of the metal placed inside it. This, plus other factors, including the mass of the material, its specific heat and how magnetic it determines how much energy is required to complete the heating or melting process.
As this application requires a large amount of energy, an energy-efficient cooling system is vital.
Transtherm have supplied the induction heating market for many years. We’ve developed a non-ferrous packaged box cooler that specifically takes into account the need for a high pressure de-ionised water cooling loop.
